I sent money to the wrong person: Mistakes happen the most. And there are 2 ways to fix this. Depending on where the money is, you can cancel the transfer yourself and resume.
If the cash app money has reached to wrong recipient, you will need to contact them and ask for the money back. Before you begin, check the status of your transfer.

#Go home to see your activity list
Find the transfer in question and it should be marked as pending. If you can see the cancel button on the transfer then you can cancel your transfer. We will send the money back to your bank account, and you can set up another transfer to the right person.
Learn to cancel your transfer: If you cancel button, or do not complete your transfer, contact the recipient.
Our conversion process is fast - and sometimes it is too late to cancel. Once it is marked as complete, it moves out of the system of funds transfer and out of the banking system. So if you don't see the option to cancel:

#Tell them about the mistake
Ask them to send the money back to you - you can set up a new transfer if you need to.
Tip: If you cannot cancel your transfer on Transfer Wise, it is out of our system, so we cannot cancel it. So please get in touch with your recipient directly.
